1. Download and install Ollama at ollama.com (version 0.6 or later).
2. Open a terminal and pull a model: ollama pull llama3.2
3. Start Ollama with Chrome extension access:
   Mac/Linux: OLLAMA_ORIGINS=chrome-extension://* ollama serve
   Windows: Set OLLAMA_ORIGINS = chrome-extension://* in System Properties → Environment Variables, then restart Ollama.
4. Open Galaxy settings and confirm the Ollama URL is http://127.0.0.1:11434. Click Save & Test Connection.

3. Start Ollama with: OLLAMA_ORIGINS=chrome-extension://* ollama serve
4. In Galaxy settings, select Ollama backend and enter a cloud model name (e.g. kimi-k2.5:cloud).
Note: No separate AI subscription is needed. Free tier has hourly and weekly usage limits.

1. Create a free account at openrouter.ai.
2. Go to Settings → Keys → Create a new API key. Copy it immediately — it is shown only once.
3. In Galaxy settings, switch backend to OpenRouter and paste your API key.
4. Enter a model name (e.g. openai/gpt-5.4) and click Save & Test Connection.

After purchase, Polar will send you a receipt email containing your license key.
1. Open Galaxy and click the ⚙ settings icon.
2. Scroll to the License section.
3. Paste your key and click Activate License.
Your status will update to ✅ Unlimited or ⭐ Lifetime instantly. If you need to restore your license on a new device, use the same field.

• Make sure Ollama is running (ollama serve)
• Confirm you started it with OLLAMA_ORIGINS=chrome-extension://*
• Check the URL in Galaxy settings is http://127.0.0.1:11434 (not localhost)
• Try clicking Save & Test Connection in Galaxy settings
• If you updated Ollama recently, restart it with the ORIGINS flag again

Yes — your license key can be used on multiple personal devices. Open Galaxy on each device, go to Settings → License, and click Activate License with the same key. There is no device limit for personal use.
